15th Annual Tiny Treasures Fundraiser, Competition and Exhibit

The fundraiser starts May 1 but you have until July 12 to be part of this fun event and support AWA.  Remember that they didn’t put the FUN in FUNdraiser for nothing!

Why not have a Tiny Treasures’ party with your friends and enjoy making them together? All mediums are accepted - watercolor, acrylic, oil, felt, jewelry, collage, leaves, bark, feathers, enamel, mosaic and encaustic just to name a few.  Don’t have a lot of time or energy to create something new?  Maybe you can find your entries within paintings that didn’t turn out.  There are always wonderful morsels in not-so-wonderful paintings.   Enjoy discovering some because repurposing is good!  Remember that all TTs must be an original composition. That means they are not copied from any work/photo that is not your own or you have attached written permission for their use.

Enter as many TTs as you’d like – submit $10 and a separate ID label for each one.  Tiny Treasures entries from prior years cannot be submitted again.  An ENTRY FORM can also be downloaded from this website or find it on the back of the gold mailer sent in January.

You can pick up your purchased or unsold piece(s) on September 28 from 1 to 3pm at the Pyle Center, 702 Langdon St in Madison.  If you agree, unsold pieces will also go in an exhibit at Capital Lakes in Madison until mid January.  If you don't check “donate to AWA if not sold” on the ID label, I'll contact you in January to see if you want to pay the mailing fee to have your TTs returned matted, otherwise there is no fee to mail them unmatted.

Remember the size restrictions:  exactly 2 ½ x 3 ½” with a depth of no more than 3/4”.  The TTs are free-floated in a mat so you DON’T want to leave a border on your TTs – go all the way to the edge.  If they’re larger, you run the risk of them not fitting in the mat.  Send them unmatted and unframed.  They will be matted so that every TT will be displayed the same way.

All entries will be exhibited this website.  All pieces will be for sale for $25.  If you want them back, you have the option to buy them when you send in your entries. The online sale starts on Thursday, August 1 and ends September 13. More information will be posted when the date gets closer.

You don’t have to be an AWA member to participate - although new members are always welcome!   Participants need to be at least 14 years old as of July 12, 2024.  Professional and nonprofessional artists are welcome to enter.
