Carol Spelic Judge and Speaker

Carole Spelic grew up with educator parents and no television, so since childhood she’s been making things in 2D and 3D. She graduated from Bates College (ME) with a BA in Fine Art and earned her MA and MFA from the University at Albany (NY).

After graduate school, Carole lived in Manhattan, New York City, for 17 years where she was assistant coordinator for the State University system’s Studio Semester in New York program.

She has retired from her senior lecturer position in the art area at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. She also retired from being program director with Shake Rag Alley Center for the Arts, and is now a full-time artist, musician, workshop leader, and gallerist.

Carole has judged both WRAP and WRAP-Teen exhibits through the years and has graciously signed on as the AWA Annual State Art Exhibit juror for 2024. She will be presenting her work September 28, 2024 afternoon  session.


Richard Moninski Key Note Speaker

Trained as a painter, Richard Moninski received a bachelor of fine arts degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a master of fine arts from the University at Albany, State University of New York. He completed additional study in surface design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. An educator with over 20 years of experience, he has employed diverse media and approaches in the course of his teaching.

Among other medium, Richard has lectured on Digital art. His presentation on September, 28, morning session will help us better understand the complexities and future of Digital Art.
